Hydro is an integrated shaving system that puts skin care at the heart of shaving and hydrates your skin while you shave with revolutionary features to help deliver a close, comfortable shave. Hydro is available in 3 or 5 blades; both have a hydrating gel reservoir, skin guards on the blades, guard-bar, and a comfortable handle. The Hydro 5 also has a flip trimmer for hard to reach areas.

There are 3 differences between the two:

• The number of blades, cartridges and the handle colour are different, offering men a choice based on personal preference and budget
• Hydro 3 has three blades and a chrome handle; Hydro 5 has five blades and a metallic blue handle
• The Hydro 5 also has a flip trimmer feature. With a simple flick of the thumb, the hydrating gel reservoir flips back so the top of the blade head can be used to edge and trim, reaching those hard-to-get-to areas such as under the nose. It’s much easier to use than standard edging blades as there’s no need to turn over the razor to access it.

After applying a Hydro Shave Prep, simply wet your cartridge to activate the hydrating gel reservoir and shave as you normally do. Moisture expands the gel while drying will shrink the gel.
This is why it is important that after shaving, you keep the cartridge or gel reservoir away from water as this can expedite the depletion of the lubrication.

The lubrication provides superior moisturisation which provides a comfortable shave and helps reduce irritation with longer lasting lubrication than ordinary lubrication strips.
